All's Well

Don't worry. We are fine.

Walter's new cardiologist is fabulous, and he's off running around getting all kinds of tests done. Me, I'm digging.

I'm on a hunt for Flame Lilies. Aka, Gloriosa Rothschildiana.

And since I never know when my small bursts of energy will suddenly expire, I'm not stopping until I'm done.

I'll probably be done today. Oh, such pix I have to show you all! Until I post the motherlode, I'll leave you with a small example of what these things look like as I dig for them.

Toodles!

hee hee! Thanks, everyone! And welcome aboard, Frank.

Nancy's right, I must lay this at the feet of Mr. Scooter. Of course, she may be especially glad, since it looks like she has some Flame Lily bulbs in her future. I'm dying of curiosity to see how they'll do in Texas.

And Cindi? That, of course, had nothing whatsoever to do with why I picked that pic. Nope.

Wait till you see the rest of them!

These are some of the reasons my neighbors get to hear me giggling to myself as I sit around playing in the dirt...

It's great to know you're back in the dirt! We've had some moisture & I took a chance with the gods & strewed a handful from my 1pound bag of red Calif. poppy seed. Happy flame lily day to you, k.

Granny j, there's something profoundly optimistic about buying a one-pound bag of poppy seeds in the first place.

Not to mention, economical.

I like that.

I need to replant my spring wildflowers if I hope to have any. The extreme freeze we had wiped them all out in San Pedro.

It's colder down there than in Tucson...
