Oh, BOY, was I! And to think it was a hurricane rescue. Watching this one bloom, which is such a stately slow process, was one of the greatest Flower Blooming Experiences of my life.
The burn is definitely better, thank you. There's one pretty bad patch, around 4" x 2" or so, that's infected and/or very raw. But even that's not nearly as bad as it should be. The larger area that got hit has almost completely healed already. It's astonishing.
I've been doing a little research, or trying to, on that egg white business. It just fascinates me no end. Yet it's almost unsurfable! I find gazillions of anecdotes, but no research articles about it.
However, I did get a couple interesting tidbits by siccing Dr. Dad on it. A nice new egg white post is slurping its way out of my brain and into my fingers...
but first, for now, back to bed. I had an all-day Doctor and Errand day yesterday, then stayed up all night indulging myself commenting - my litle REward for being a Good Girl!! and getting all my errands done, see? I earned a Nice Treat!! - and I still haven't recovered. From the Doctor Day OR the Treat. heh!
And greedy me, all I want to be doing right now is gardening...
I'm a nice quiet middle-aged former bankbuster, disabled since age 32 with a myriad of weird health issues. I love heat and humidity and odd hobbies like fossil hunting, tromping around in the Everglades, backyard bricklaying, and rescuing plants damaged by our spate of hurricanes. Oh - I like to live-blog hurricanes, too.*****
I have a wonderful life. I'm one of the happiest people I know. Why? I don't know.*****
I also have nightmare memories in my head that would send some folks around the bend. But that's another story, one I don't tell much, and I seem to have made it past the horror parts pretty well.*****
I have nothing to prove so it's hard to insult me. I know who I am. I own the space I live in - and I don't mean just my house. My life is way far from perfect, but I'm content.*****
For some readers, that would make this a boring blog. For others, my fun adventures, absurd health episodes, and particular way of looking at things keep 'em entertained enough, in the end.

Gorgeous!
Hope the burn is getting better.
