And you better make them the Real Good Ones. Primo, folks.
I say that because of the quality I see here in this new blogchild. Check it out: http://vinegarandhoney.blogspot.com/.
Livey and I have now been cohabiting long enough to have spawned a little one. Of course, this kind doesn't take the whole nine months. We are extremely proud to be co-blogmothers to Jan.
She's been a commenter at Livey's place from time to time, and more recently at my place here, too. She said she would have been earlier but couldn't figure out how to fill in the lines to leave a comment. She's making her way through Blogger, learning how to post and spellcheck and put the pretty stuff in. Of the two of us blogmamas, of course, Livey's the techno mama here.
You know I'm a semi-permanent technolame-o. So I have a soft spot for all bloggers who start out with that additional trepidation, the blogging part itself.
That's extra. It's added on to those concerns most of us have that say: --but why would anyone want to read this? what if I actually don't have anything interesting to say? what if I do at first but then I run out? what if someone is really rude and I don't know what to say to them? what if I hit the wrong button and the whole thing blows up? what if I make some kind of typo that really upsets someone when I didn't ever mean it at all? and and and...
I really do think those things won't be an issue here. I have to have a very good reason, me, to ever make a statement like that. But ultimately, of course, YOU are the judge.
Would all y'all do me a favor, please? Check it out for me, okay? I'd like to see if my assessment is right. Tell me what you think.
Tell her, too.

I think she's great!!! I hope my rough nature doesn't offend her some time.
I've added her to my RSS feed.
Well.. I lied. I just tried to add her to my RSS and she doesn't have it on.... Oh well, I'll keep checking.
Well, one the one hand, she's a genteel woman. On the other? She's used to hearing Livey and me cuss up a storm. And say some even rougher stuff than cussing.
I can't speak for her on that, of course - but I bet she'll be just fine.
I'm so glad you liked her! I already knew you have good taste. So that counts.
Thanks!
Oh! Whoops! She'll have it soon. Sit tight.
yes she does, it's at the bottom of the page.
Oh, you guys...I'm not deserving of all that praise, but thank you so much! I'll try to do you all proud!
dnr...I'm a lady, yes...but I'm also a big girl. LOL
What's a RSS feed, anyway? If I have one...it's yours!
I think you guys did a heck of a good job! What a fine blog this. (Ooops, I gotta go, the boys just brought me a baby mouse in a bucket....)
I gave him a Cheerio soaked in milk, but he is too frightened (or sick) to try it. What to do...what to do...?
What is an RSS feed???
Oh, like links or something?...
I know. I'll just wait and see if he perks up. I'll let him rest awhile and see if he does. THen I'll put him back out in the GreaT Outdoors...
Ooops. The mouse is dead. Now we'll have to have a funeral and THEN put him back in the Great Outdoors, with flowers. RIght now I have to go make some peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. (I must remember to wash my hands first).
Oh, the poor little thing! He must have been hurt too badly. We had the same experience with some baby bunnies here.
You did what you could.
Boy oh boy, it seems to be going around, huh? Will you be sayng the Mouse Words over it?
An RSS feed is where you put yourself on their list of folks to notify when they have a new post up. If it's a blog you love but they don't post every day it sure comes in handy. You won't be clicking all the time and wondering.
Um, please fact check that though. Lame-o here!
I will be saying the Mouse Words over it. In Mouse.
RSS feeds need a reader for you to be able to read them. There's plenty of free one s around. IE7 has one inbuilt. Google has one at: http://www.google.com/reader/view/
Tons more around.
I reckon they're great because it takes away email subscriptions which I prefer not to get. I read quite a few blogs, and RSS is how I check who has new posts up.
Oh, miss assassin, that's good. Very good.
Are The Boys those breathtakingly cute little kittens who helped celebrate the Dogs' Birthdays? I forget how old they are. The Boys, I mean! I can see that the dogs, put together, are 183 years young.
Because I seem to remember a solemn and charming photo of your boys around a newly covered mouse grave - one boy with a bandage on his bare foot, just like me - but those pix were from the 1970's, if memory serves...
Morris, thank you! I had no idea a reader was required. Heh. Now you can see why I'm quite convinced of my technolame-o status.
Since my guy Walter is the family geek, and since I get to visit with him tomorrow in Green Bay after a delivery (oh, joy and happiness!) I'll ask him to take care of that. I'd love to be able to get the *new post* notifications. He knows what is and isn't on the laptop, so even though it looks easy enough, I like to check with him first.
