He's In

I dropped Walter off at the heart surgery place around 6am. He's officially scheduled for the heart catheter at either 7:30 or 8:00, depending on who you talk to.

They estimate they'll take around 6 hours for the whole thing. I don't know if that includes any stents, if he needs them.

I'm glad he's there. He hasn't been feeling so well. The past two days, he's said if he weren't going in to the hospital Thursday, he'd go check himself in for the heart pains he's been feeling.

For him to say THAT much is serious indeed.

Yesterday I found that one of the few flame lilies I actually paid money for - three different varieties of yellow - has bloomed for me.

Yellow. That's for coming back home, safe and sound.

Been there. I was scared and happy when it was over even though I had to lay still for hours while I clotted.

Thank you, all. He made it out. He's fine. Ah, he's fine. No stents, no blockages.

*WHEW!!*

Mickysolo, I read your comment early, before the hospital called me at 11AM. They said he was out of surgery, and was fine, but I couldn't pick him up until 4PM.

I was asleep when they called - could't sleep again last night - but I just said --Okay-- and went back to sleep.

If I hadn't read your comment, I may not have been able to sleep again! Instead, I thought: --Oh, I bet they're just making sure he's clotting up right...and drifted back off to sleep.

It was the hole in the femoral artery. They want to make sure it doesn't tear open and you bleed out after getting you home.

Morris, Walter's been rather bemused at your parallel heart things here. He says Hi! And boy, it's GREAT to see you commenting again! Welcome back to your life, mister. Wecome.
