Io Moths

Here's the little orange wee babies, all hanging out together for camoflage.

A few of the caterpillars got loose and pupated in odd places...like this one, in my camera case.

A male and a female hatched at the same time and sat here companionably.

Now that's a pretty moth. I see the family resemblance, though mine look like their eyes are closed, and are a lot less colorful (despite their name).

Ios are one of the most colorful moths ever created. It's hard to fill those shoes.

It just really gets me that they're related. Here were are with our separate stinging caterpillars, a couple thousand milea apart - and it turns out they're family.
