Figured I'd better get it in before midnight.

Are we ready?

Well...

But I guess this is one where we have to wait and see, right? Six days. Ah, the suspense!

GOT YOUR 72 HOUR SURVIVAL KIT ALL READY, JUST IN CASE? Ooops. Didn't mean to shout in your ear. Utah is very big on having these. Not that we expect to be blown away in a hurricane anytime soon, but we do live on top of the Wasatch fault....

We've got some pretty interesting preps here. You kind of fine-tune it over the years. One newer thing with me is, where I used to buy meat on sale and freeze it raw, as the 'cane season comes I convert all that to cooked dishes. If you're without power for threee or four weeks, you used a lot less charcoal, propane, etc. just heating up food that's already cooked. You also have less spoilage.

And I have the most BEAUTIFUL flashlight collection goin' on here! My new waterproof from Walter is a pretty, red, aluminum shock-resistant waterproof one. And I have a new addition on the way, and possibly a second new addition if my ebay bid on DC's sale site comes through.

After the surgery, I'll be out of commision on my major physical labor for quite a while. You may get regaled with loads of nice pix of things like my entire flashlite collection. It's quite something.

And BTW Ms Assassin! What's this about living on a fault in Utah? I had no idea. How unsettling!

As you know, there's often a flurry of bidding activity in the final minutes of the auction. But even if you're not the winner, e-mail me if you're interested and I'll send you one at the starting bid price + S&H outside of the auction.
