Will It Rain On My Parade?

The Lake Tomahawk 4th of July parade was held by Bear Foot Park.

There were garage sales too.

And the semi-permanent ad hoc flea market was in full swing.

People lined up along the route - complete with umbrellas - because the parade started at 2PM but at 1:30 it was raining.

Oh NO!!!

Don't rain on our PARADE!!!

Dang, y'all had lots more fun than I did!

All I did July 4th was watch it rain...then we went on a drive between showers

Have I mentioned it's been raining a LOT here in Texas?

Nancy, any spare rain you have, you can funnel over to Arizona, thanks.

Yeah. It's been feast or famine, hasn't it?

I haven't been paying much attention to the Florida rain, but the neighbors tell me it's been raining pretty normally now, the rainy season - aka hurricane season -is under way.

Meaning, I really don't have to do anything at all for watering, even when I'm home.

Good.

Nancy, every time I LOOK out there, Texas is getting rained on again!

Geez, we could use some rain here, too! Great summer parade pictures, k. Glad you are still having a good time! (Let Livey take YOUR picture, too...and post it for those of us who think you look like Martha STewart.)

k-- you blew your wad this day on pictures! A wonderful small town 4th you had!

And tell Nancy that I will wrestle Desert Cat for any of that rain she sends our way.

Hi miss assassin! You're back, you're back!

No pix. That was part of the deal when I came here. And even this horrifying suggestion of any similarity whatsoever to the dreaded Ms S. will NOT make me change my mind!

nancy - HA!!!

granny j, I sure did - yes to both. I think I'm bumping up on that space thing you were talking about. Yikes! My love of pix may finally inspire me to make some changes around here.

And when you wrestle DC I'm taking MORE pix.

I don't know about you Granny J, but she did send me some yesterday. A nice plume of moisture looped from Texas through New Mexico and into southern AZ. Some spotty showers at my farm, but enough up the mountains to wash out the road in a couple places. :)

Today the winds shifted and dry air came back from the west.
