Funnel Cakes!

Yet another delicacy I've never tried before.

Funnel Cake Man was a bit startled when I took his pic. But he said he didn't mind. They pour the batter through a funnel into hot oil.

Flips it over like you would a cake donut.

Pretty! Tasty, too.

Love absolutely all the pictures and the narration! It's almost like being there! That is one yumo-looking dish....

Looks like the two of you had some good times and good junk food.

I love a good festival!

That looks like a great time. Things of this nature can be so much fun.

You'd never had a funnel cake??? Well, I'm glad you finally rectified that omission!

They're so greasy, however, that my persnickety system can only metabolize about one every fifteen years. The last one was in 2005, at Coney Island, so I reckon I've got about another dozen years to go before the next.

heh! Yes indeed, a fine time was Had By All, as they say. It really was a nice treat.

Well, I was in the doghouse for a few minutes. I scootered away from some perfume places and lost myself zooming around. Livey walked back to the car for a cold soda, but I'd locked it. No one locks their cars here so she wasn't expecting it. Then she called my cell and I scootered over for the drink but got lost and didn't get it to her for a while. My bad. But we worked it out.

Pretty Lady, I had around 5 bites. That's all I could manage, between the diabetes and the lack of metabolism. But it sure was good.

And yes, definitely time I rectified it. Same with the brat and cheese curds too.

I've also never been to Coney Island. I hear it's too late now...

Funnel cakes are on the list of "must eat" when we go to the State Fair in a couple of weeks. Brats are on the menu at home about once a week in the summertime...

I bet your State Fair will have some things in common with Loon Days. I mean, besides the brats and funnel cakes! Corn, too, I bet.

I heard a rumor that Florida is the nation's biggest state producer of *green* corn, the corn on the cob eating kind. Think so?
